AnnouncementsStan Smith, who so faithfully helps us manage the finishline at races where his wife Carol usually runs and wins trophies, suffered a terrible accident the end of June which resulted in the amputation of much of his thumb. He was trying to keep a paramedic vehicle from rolling off its blocks down a steep incline when it ran over his hand. The vehicle did not roll, thanks to Stan, preventing it from crashing into a busy intersection. So, Stan is a hero! Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers - he is in a lot of pain and has a lot of surgery coming to hopefully repair his thumb. • Renew your membership now (June or later) and only
